Poupart
The Poupart Group is one of the UK’s leading fresh produce companies and supplies quality soft-fruit, top-fruit, stone-fruit, citrus, cherries, grapes and a host of other products to leading supermarkets and the non-retail section. The Group comprises five product-specific marketing divisions supplying supermarkets, namely Berryworld for soft-fruit, Orchard World for top-fruit, Poupart Citrus for citrus and Norton Folgate for cherries and stone-fruit. A fifth marketing division is Poupart Imports which concentrates on supplying the general non-supermarket trade with an extensive range of fresh produce. The Group Head Office is in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire with trading offices in Spain, Surrey, Essex and Hertfordshire.
Poupart acts as a marketer connecting a global yet fragmented grower base with the UK multiple retailers. In order to carry out this role, the company provides marketing, logistical and technical support to its customers and suppliers. This service removes a considerable amount of supply chain risk for the supermarkets.
The Group also holds investments in three joint ventures: VBBV, a berry marketing business based in Holland; Citrus First, a citrus marketing business based in Spain and VBGmbh, a berry marketing business based in Germany.
